Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research's Health Research Transfer Network of Alberta
The Research Transfer Network of Alberta is a province-wide network that undertakes activities to strengthen the application of research to health practices in Alberta.

Bandolier
The impetus behind Bandolier is to find information about evidence of effectiveness (or lack of it), and put the results forward as simple bullet points of those things that worked and those that did not: a bandolier with bullets. Information comes from systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomised trials, and from high quality observational studies.  Each month PubMed and the Cochrane Library are searched for systematic reviews and meta-analyses published in the recent past.

BestBETS
Best Evidence Topics (BETs) bring the evidence one step closer to the bedside, by providing answers to very specific clinical problems, using the best available evidence. Each Topic answers a carefully worded 3-part question, using a structured approach to finding and reviewing the literature. BETs are designed specifically for Emergency Medicine. The BET method allows the use of lower quality research, and lists the shortcomings of the evidence used. As with other forms of EBM topic review, each BET has a clinical "bottom line" for the busy physician. Being brief and well-structured, BETs can be reviewed at regular intervals, to ensure the evidence remains the best available. The online database  allows visitors to browse or search topics, and then print, email or comment on them

Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technology in Health (CADTH)

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) is an independent, not-for-profit agency funded by Canadian federal, provincial, and territorial governments to provide credible, impartial advice and evidence-based information about the effectiveness of drugs and other health technologies to Canadian health care decision makers.

It includes reliable evidence from Cochrane and other systematic reviews, clinical trials, and more. Cochrane reviews bring you the combined results of the world’s best medical research studies, and are recognized as the gold standard in evidence-based health care.  The Cochrane Library is freely accessible in Nova Scotia with a public library card by clicking on the link above.

CIHR Knowledge Translation Overview
CIHR resources on KT, including a list of website links

Health Evidence
This web site is a free, searchable online registry of research evidence evaluating the effectiveness of all public health interventions. It saves time and money by eliminating the need for public health decision makers to search for, retrieve, assess and synthesize evidence about the impact of public health interventions. This results in more efficient and effective delivery of public health programs and services. There are more than 1,100 systematic reviews available.

Joint Program in Knowledge Translation
The Joint Program in Knowledge Translation is a collaboration between St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.

McMaster's Health Forum - Health Systems Evidence
McMaster's Health Forum just launched their Health Systems Evidence website -- a redesign and relaunch of their Program in Policy Decision-Making/Canadian Cochrane Network and Centre database.  The site is a continuously updated repository of syntheses of research evidence about governance, financial, and delivery arrangements within health systems, and about implementation strategies that can support change in health systems.

WhatisKT
The Wikispace is intended to promote a collaborative environment to define and compare terms and concepts used to describe Knowledge Translation--KT across a variety of disciplines.
