COMMON CV

What is it?

NSHRF has joined the Common CV Network, a partnership of Canadian funding organizations that provides research funding with the aim of working together to streamline the process researchers use to submit their CV with grant applications.

The Common CV system is a Web-based tool that allows researchers to manage their Curriculum Vitae (CV) data in a single repository and generate multiple CVs to member organizations.

What does it mean to funding applicants?

Beginning January 2008, NSHRF will require applicants for our Competitive Research Programs to complete the Common CV as part of the application process.

Researchers with CVs already in the Canadian Common CV system will merely have to update them and complete some NSHRF-specific sections.

Log on to the Common CV here.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact NSHRF's CCV help desk at: 902-424-8833 or helpdesk@nshrf.ca

Validating the PIN for NSHRF/Common CV

All applicants or team members with an academic appointment require a NSHRF-Validated Canadian Common CV (CCV). After completing all the required information on the CCV, users will need to validate their PIN. This is a comparison of your information in the CCV and the EGMS system in order to match your accounts. Once you validate and submit your Common CV, you will need to provide your EGMS account information (Email address and EGMS Password) in order to successfully validate your CV. Once this is done, your Common CV will be made part of the application. Please be aware that it is not possible to submit without validated CV's. Please contact the helpdesk at NSHRF if you encounter any issues. Process for Validating Common CV Pin.
