Introduction
The Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation NSHRF is a results oriented organization, planning for what we want to accomplish and reporting on the results that have been achieved.  The NSHRF was established in 2000 and is in its tenth year of operation. The NSHRF receives an annual grant from the Department of Health and operates at arms length, governed by an independent Board of Directors.

Results/Impact
The Results/Impact section provides  a snap shop of NSHRF's performance and the impact of health research funding in Nova Scotia.  The report Measuring Nova Scotia’s Results in Health Research: 2009 Update Report supports the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF) in one of its three key strategic directions: demonstrating and communicating the impacts of health research. The report presents the findings of an analysis of health research spending over the eight fiscal years from 2001-02 to 2008-09 using a variety of published data sources and related indicators of health research funding success. This current report updates the 2007 report.
