Knowledge Programs

Our Knowledge Programs are designed to address the knowledge needs of decision-makers within the Nova Scotia health system. With the aim to provide timely and pragmatic approaches to integrating evidence into decision-making processes, the Knowledge Programs are targeted at decision-makers and the questions they grapple with in designing policies, programs and services to improve the health of Nova Scotians.

We are also committed to facilitating opportunities for the research community in Nova Scotia to develop and refine the skills needed to provide evidence to decision-makers in a systematic, yet timely manner.

The Knowledge Programs are priority-driven, meaning that they will focus specifically on our health research priorities as these are based on evidence and are reflective of the current knowledge needs of the province. Several aspects of the program are being piloted over the next year to address the dynamic information needs of decision-makers.
