International Health Research Workshop
November 16, 2006
The workshop had the following objectives:
- To build awareness and interest within the Nova Scotia health research community around opportunities available for undertaking internationally funded research.
- To provide an open forum for collaboration and discussion that will enable Nova Scotia researchers to develop approaches to maximize their potential in securing international health research funding.
Outcomes
Participants actively discussed and the following has been done to reach the workshop’s objectives:
- An International Health Research page was created for continued communication around issues raised at the workshop.
- A working group was created to move forward the action items identified at the workshop. Updates as to the ongoing progress of this group will be provided via our website.
Session Report
A formal report (PDF Attachment) was written by workshop Facilitator, Chris Hornberger (Halifax Global Inc.), who captured the ideas, issues and action items that came out of the discussion and speaker presentations at the workshop.
