Mapping Health Geography
Mapping Health Geography in Nova Scotia Workshop
October 29, 2007
The purpose of this workshop was to bring health researchers together to discuss the opportunities, benefits and challenges of geomatics in health research. The collaboration will continue to enhance Nova Scotia's health research capacity.
Workshops objectives were to:
- create a province wide dialogue on current expertise and resources related to geomatics and health research. To continue this collaboration a Health Geomatics Directory (PDF Attachment) has been created;
- identify future opportunities for collaboration on health research;
- identify next steps in building a “network” of health researchers using geomatics; and
- collectively identify problems and work as a cohesive group to look at solutions.
Session Report
Ideas and issues that came from discussions and speaker presentations were captured in a formal report. (PDF Attachment)
