Funding Hosted by the NSHRF

As well as hosting its own funding competitions, the NSHRF manages and hosts funding competitions for outside organizations and the provincial government. Below are the current competions hosted by the NSHRF:

 

AMS Healthcare Histroy of Medicine Grants and Fellowships

In 2019-20 the NSHRF will be hosting the AMS project grant, postdoctoral fellowship and doctoral completion award program on behalf of AMS. The purpose of this program is to promote scholarship, teaching and public interest in history of healthcare, disease and medicine. 

 
 

MSSU Student Awards


The Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) Student Awards provide financial support to high caliber research trainees engaged in patient-oriented health research at universities in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.    


Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women


Domestic violence affects many Nova Scotians and can happen in any relationship. Over the next few years, the Government of Nova Scotia will work with community organizations and groups to prevent domestic violence and better support victims through the development of a provincial plan, called Standing Together.
